Butlins Accomadation Dilema. Should I upgrade or not?

Hello

I have a Dilema. I have booked my holiday through the sun. Their are 6 of going may 1/2 half term. We are on half board option so have got room only. I want to stay in an apartment. (More room, more comfortable etc....) to upgrade to a room will cost £72! The last 2 times I have been butlins I have been upgraded - last year july paid £50 to upgrade to hotel. In December got upgraded to apartment for free.

I'm thinking should I pay to upgrade now ? As it's half term I'm concerned the 3bed apartments will be all sold out. Or should I take a chance an not book and try to upgrade when I get their? which I'm told is £40 maybe I would even get a free upgrade again (does good luck happen twice:))

So what would you do? Pay the £72 as surety, or hold out to see if You could pay less on site ?

it is a gamble but as it is HT I would pay if the space was important to me..

I wouldnt gamble as half term is going to be busy. £72 seems like a good deal with half term prices.

I would pay now and not gamble, We have a sun holiday booked too and I upgraded to silver a couple of weeks ago it was £60 but we are going the fri-mon so that maybe why its cheaper, we are going to skegness so no hotel :-( but also in may half term and I didn't want to leave it and chance them being full there are 5 of us going and we really wanted 3 bedrooms too, we stayed in a 2 bed last time and it was tiny.

If it was important to me I would pay it...if it just would be nice to have then I'd not and wait...depends how important it is to you
