What are 9 year olds in to, something small?

Can anyone give me an idea of a small item (no more than £5) that would interest a 9 year old boy please? That might seem cool.

Is it possible at such a small amount of money?

Many thanks

Books are always good. If they're into a certain thing. Mine love diary of a wimpy kid, Mr Stink and my 9yr old loves anything by Michael Murphurgo. If they got a book token, they thought it was great.

I have a 9 year old son and the finger skateboards are popular in our house (Tech decks, I think they're called?) Both boys like to make ramps for the skateboards out of old cereal boxes.

Also small Lego models or Playmobile can be under a £5 and my 9 year old likes multi packs of Hot Wheels toy cars.

My older son at 9 would have preferred art materials such as packs of clay, new pencil crayons, paint brushes etc.

My 9 year old is into Lego, you can pick up little sets or packets of mini figures for under £5.

Also Horrid Henry books seem quite popular.

Why not ask him/his parents what he would like to receive?
