Is it possible to apply and be accepted for the Halifax Clarity card if I already have another Halifax card?

I'd like one for when I'm travelling.

There are mixed opinions, but from personal experience - yes. I got my clarity while holding another Halifax card.

Normally if you hold one Halifax card it is not possible to apply and be accepted for a second card. If your looking at the Clarity card it is possible to see if you can upgrade your existing account to the new one.

Jessie, did you manage to get an upgrade then? I've had my other card since 2005.

It is absolutely possible to have two halifax credit cards but it depends on which type of card you hold. For example, I used to have a halifax one card and got accepted for a halifax NSPCC card which later became Halifax standard card. but they would not give me another halifax one card for obvious reasons.
I am sure I can convert one of them to a clarity card. I am not sure whether you can have a halifax one and clarity card at the same time, but you can have a clarity card and a standard card at the same time.

Thanks, I'll try apply for it then.

My current is their cashback platinum card, which I got in 2006 I think, and not sure what they'd do with the accrued cashback if I switched it.

Tried to apply online with no success, it said I already have a card so can't apply.

Oddly the number the website then gave to call for queries was +44 1702 278 272 which is for Lloyds, who were confused as they can't deal with the Halifax part yet.

Sounds like you've had the card a while. It's definitely worth checking with them tho if you can upgrade to the clarity card. Either the credit card team or customer services can check for you to see if your eligable
