Bank switching issue

I am thinking of switching my current account from Santander to Halifax (mainly to take advantage of the £100 switching bonus on offer). However it states to qualify for this all direct debits and standing orders need to be switched.
I opened a Santander monthly saver account last year and set up a standing order from my current account. I have one more payment to go through (due 2nd April) until the account matures. According to Santander's terms the standing order payments must come from a Santander account and not an outside account.
A couple of questions:
1. Will the switching bank (Halifax, in this case) give me an option not to switch this standing order? And if I choose not to, I guess I won't qualify for the £100?
2. Or would a better option be to cancel the standing order in the Halifax account (once it is open) and create a new standing order in my Santander account for that one remaining payment transfer?

You've not got long as the £100 offer ends 3rd March.

Switch but don't ask them to close your Santander account. It's something you will need to monitor, however generally the payments are switched over within 3 weeks. Set up a standing order on your Santander account to your saver and cancel the Halifax one. You should be able to do this within time.
