Recommend me an ecommerce platform

I am looking for a uk based ecommerce platform that is easy to use and wont make my shop look tacky. It doesnt have to be free but I would like an all in one package and I stress again it must be simple to use for a minimal techie person, suggestions I have had so far are
1. Magento - too complicated for me.
2. Shopify - I like this one but its US based and I'm not sure if its professional enough looking.
3. EKM Powershops - shocking reviews, but everything else looked ok.
I have in the past bought domains from 123reg with no problems, has anyone used their ecommerce?
Suggestions welcome

EKM is OK but has got very slow (even after a server move) Customer service is terrible now, used to be brilliant and they have no interest in making it mobile compatible either.
Absolute shopping cart seems pretty new but they are a small team, you speak to the same person, yes there are bugs but most are sorted fairly swiftly and they will work with you. Tell Andy Kate from Smart-Stuff sent you, pretty sure we have been the bane of his life since Jan but we have a LOT of products and are very nearly ready to take it live

Have a look at RomanCart - they're UK-based, do mobile, etc - and have a free tier.

Their offices are in Bath if you want to check them out.0 -

Hi,
I use opencart which is free to use and does the job just fine. I also have a host for £4.99 who was happy to set it up and helps out when it comes to SEO etc.0 -
I've used Shopify in a previous job, and it worked great, looked very professional and the CMS was a doddle to use. We did pay out for a bespoke template, which helped us get the look we were after. But otherwise it was a good solution. I've also used Zencart, which is a bit less user-friendly when it comes to altering design layouts, but works very well also."I AM DEATH, NOT TAXES.
