Help with ipad please

hello all,
sorry in advance as i know i am a thickie but please could anyone help. i have a new ipad and i was ok last night using it but then i left it for 2 mins and it locked me out and i had to put my password back in but when i tried to do this it kept saying wrong password and locked me out for longer now it just says ipad is disabled concect to iTunes ??? how can i connect to anything if it's disabled ? many thanks in advance :D

it's all bugged me so much i can't sleep and was up at 4.30

Because itunes is able to work to perform resets/restores (aka factory reset) even if the ipad is disabled. You'll need to plug it in.

The ipad has a separate password, and shouldn't be the app store password, unless you've set it that way. Which is not a great idea anyway.
