Single room therefore no balcony, Why?

Feel I have to voice my dissapointment - I have enquired with the hotel that I have booked to go to in May about whether my room has a sea view and balcony. They e mailed me back to say that No, single rooms dont have a balcony or a sea view. Why am I surprised?! I just think it is sad that as a single traveller, single rooms are somehow not as important as doubles. They said I could have a double to myself, which will cost me a further 55 euros per night. (which I am considering doing, I am ashamed to say) Feel better for having got that off my chest!!

Not surpised to hear that either. For some reason hotels seem to think that giving a single person the smallest and or worst room in the hotel is fine.0

sore one. The Balcony is my favourite part of the room regardless of the view.
Have you already paid or just secured the room with a CC. If the latter ,you could cancel and search suppliers for a cheaper Double.0
