House vibrating from heavy traffic!

Not sure where to post this...I have lived near a busy road for 10 years now but the use of heavy traffic has increased, so much so that certain vehicles are causing the house to shake - especially in the small hours when lorries use the road either fully ladened or traveling too fast.

I can actually feel my bed shaking from the vibration!!

Does anyone know where/who I can contact - is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks in anticipation ;)

Not had any experience myself and my structural engineering background is purely academic and very limited, but I'd imagine you're probably best starting off with contacting your local structural engineers/surveyors. 1. they could assess if any damage is being caused (if so you could probably pursue compensation from the council/highways agency) and 2. they should have the expertise to tell you if and what can be done about it. I'd imagine any kind of dampening system would be quite expensive but definitely worth looking into whether highways agency or council are responsible.
