Can someone enlighten me regarding BT's on Capital One 0% 18 months offer?
A recent post suggested that 9 months and below offers were BT fee free, and that offers in excess of this (ie 12, 15, & 18 month offers) we subject to a fee of 2%, capped at £50.
I'm in possession of 3 lots of Capital One paraphernalia. On checking the summary boxes I have found the following...
9 month leaflet (BT's 0%/9 months & purchases 0%/3 months) - summary box says "Fees - No annual fee".
18 month leaflet (0%/18 months BT's only) that I will submit shortly - summary box says "Fees - No annual fee; Balance transfer handling fee - 2% (max £50)"
18 month online offer (from this site) - My wife applied for this and was accepted. The summary boxes, both printed during the online application and sent to her with the credit agreement state "Fees - No annual fee" ie SAME AS THE 0% 9 MONTHS OFFER.
Does this mean she will pay no fee when we BT from my Egg card in a couple of weeks? Or is it a mis-print? Or (cynicism (sp?) here), is it a deliberate ploy to confuse?
Any thoughts anyone?
