Was it an all singing, all dancing, colour coded wing mirror, which tells you the temperature, and your horoscope for the day?

    If so.....I'm feeling £120 ish.

Long gone are the days when you could buy a pair :D for a fiver!

I don't think the lack of a mirror is an MOT issue though (maybe someone else can be more specific re MOT tests - not my forte).

Maybe the garage can repair it for less, if all parts are there and it's not broken any of the gadgetry.

Have you had a look at Ebay?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=corsa+wing+mirror&_sacat=0&_from=R40

Getting a mirror cheaply should be no problem, getting one that is the same colour will be slightly harder.

If you get what you want then look on Youtube for a DIY video on how to fit it.

Its a pain in the a$$ when it happens. But it must one of the most common things that happens to a car owner no matter who's at fault! I know I know easier said than done. Have a good look at the damage and see if it can be repaired by you or someone else other than a garage. Some times it can look worse than what you think and can be dearer than you thought. Take a second look and shop around!!!!!!!!!
If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.

I accidentally took out somebody's wing mirror last weekend, but they'd parked up on the kerb, leaving no room to squeeze past on foot........ So I didn't feel too bad the next day when I saw it hanging by it's wires. I'm sure anyone in a wheelchair or using a pushchair would have found it amusing though.
