bit long..but can anyone advise me please.... a bit of everything, ctc,hb,ctb, etc

iv asked numerous questions on here regarding benefits, redundancy, dla for my son etc .
my husbands redundancy money has dwindled away and will only last next 2-3 weeks :(

just want advise really on getting the maximum are allowed to claim..

i currently work on average 22 hours per week, 6.80 an hour. roughly £550-£570 per month, however my job as a support worked often means i get to take clients on weekend trips etc which i obviously get extra money for, so my wages fluctuate for eg january i completed my nvq3 and got £150 extra, febuary weekend away so got £300 extra.
apart from another planned trip in july with work , my wages will be roughly be around £550 BUT i am in a position where i could do extra hours if i wanted.
my husband is on jsa cb of £142 per fortnight, we get ctc and child benefit as well as middle rate care dla fro our son, my husband has an underlying entitlement to carers allowance.
we get full housing and councilt tax benefit.
come june my husbands jsa cb runs out but i dont think he will be able to claim jsa cb due to my wage being too high
if i upped my hours to 24 come april would we get working tax ? i am aware that my husband would get the £58 carers allowance as opposed to jsa ib, i was under the impression income support would top that up, however i now know they wont.
just really scared to think about the future :(
my husband is trying his damned hardest to get a job, theres just nothing :( what annoys me most is my cousin and her husband who are on benefits (this is not me having a dig or slating those on benefits) both admit they get paid far too much money from the goverment, they are both able to go shopping each week and buy themselves nice treats..also several takeaways per week, where is the justice in that :(

You are lucky that you can work extra hours.

You need to work 24 hours to claim working tax credit.

You can put different scenarios into the benefit calculator here:

http://www.turn2us.org.uk/benefits_search.aspx to find out your entitlements.
