Is pension contribution relevant

Total income for me and wife: £64k (P60 + P11D). Between us we pay about £12k a year in pension contributions, which includes about £7k AVCs for me. Is any of this taken into account when assessing a student loan for my daughter? In other words, is the £64k reduced by pension contributions? If so, are AVCs treated differently from standard contributions? These are basic questions, but I just can't find an answer to them.

Firstly have to say that I don't know what a P11D is

Pension contributions are deducted from total income when assessing for Student Finance and I am sure that AVCs are treated exactly the same (mine was anyway)0 -
Correct. Just need to provide evidence to support these in order for assessed income to be reduced.0

Thanks for the answers. I thought it should be taken into account.
P11D - annual return filed by your employer to HMRC detailing the cash equivalent of benefits such as company car, medical insurance and so on (I've only just found out about it
