Can anyone recommend a webcam? I'm looking for two, one for me (UK) and one for family in New Zealand. I have broadband though they only have dial up (they don't do BB in the wilds of Northland) is this going to be a problem? Also, what else do I need to see and chat with them? What's this Skype thing? Is it free? (Who are the Beatles?) Thanks in advance.

I wouldnt bother attempting to chat with video on dial-up - would be incredibly slow, problematic and frustrating. You would probably struggle even with just plain vanilla voice calls over internet0
