internet scam beware

i ordered a pair of shoes from niceredsoleshoes.com in december 2012, however when they were delivered they were very badly made. The provider was very reluctant to take them back but i finally got a returns address out of them. After paying £102 for the shoes and and additional £20 for postage n packing to return my shoes my refund never came. Im angry and upset that these scam artists have literally taken my money and run hiding behind a legitimate looking website. Don't give these con men your money!! Iv been screwed over but hopefully if the word is spread these people can be shut down before they steal even more!

Any one can have a legitimate looking website - it would take me a couple of hours to knock one together from an off the shelf emommerce package.

A little bit of research before you buy from a new site goes a long way. I only had to look at the WhoIs.com details for the site to know that it is not one I would want to give money to. The site is registered in China and the registrant name is fake (not even the Chinese would have the name "jhh bb") - so at the best you are going to get poor quality fakes.

The site has been changed to just a holding page now, as it has been suspended by its hosts (probably due to complaints) .So they won't be using it any more and will have moved onto the next one.

Even from the title of the website, I can tell the shoes are going to be cheap Louboutin knock-offs. Red soles are a trademark of Louboutin shoes, so chances are high that shoes with a red sole and a different coloured upper are going to be fakes, if they're not the real thing. And if a company trades in fakes, they're not likely to be all that hot on customer service.

    Were you expecting real Louboutins?

Reading my previous post, it might come across as a little bit arsey, and that's not really fair given that you're just trying to warn people about a site that scammed you.

Thanks for the warning. Be aware that websites selling fake Louboutins are all over the internet. The one that stung you is one among many. They used to be common on Ebay too, but apparently they've cracked down. As always, with designer goods (especially ones which rely on a single, easy to recognise factor such as a logo or red sole), unless you're buying from a reputable dealer, assume it's a fake.

Good quality fakes are theoretically possible, of course, but it's pretty unlikely.

you can do a chargeback on a VISA debit card, not sure about others. You will get a lot of resistence from the banks so do a bit of research then hit the bank. You may well have to escallate it up to the top and if they don't cave then tell them you will go to the financial ombudsman and let him sort it, it costs the bank about £400 each time they go there so may well give in then.

If it is more than 15 days since purchase date (or agreed delivery date - if applicable) then you can do a (VISA) chargeback on the basis of non-delivery of goods.
