Re:Lloyds TSB Success / debt management

Hi

I recently got some PPI back from an old LLoyds TSB loan. I am in a debt management plan and have two outstanding credit cards with Lloyds TSB I pay so much a month on a debt management plan. I have received a cheque and was asked.... Not told if I used the amount towards the credit cards what the amounts would be.
I want to use the amount to pay off some of the credit cards and some other debts I don't want to use the whole amount on the one debt as it would not help me I am coping with my debt management plan comfortably not living beyond my means. Legally if I do this could I get in trouble? I want to spread the payment out. Do I have to fight this? Would I be kicked off the plan it's not a huge amount thanks would anyone advise me. :A:T

They can use any redress agaisnt any amount outstanding or written off of your debt with them first, they don't have to ask you.

You could ask them to give it to you, but don't hold your breath, they do not have to . If they have, you can use it where you like.

If you've received the cheque without any amount already being deducted to off set your credit card debt, then the money is there for you to do with as you please.
Not paying the amount to your credit cards will not result in you being "kicked off" your debt Management Plan, but do think very carefully about whether the debts you are choosing to pay should have priority.
