Easiyo yoghurt year out of date?

Is it gonna kill me? I'm not really bothered by best before dates but does anyone know if the quality will be any good?

Basically I've been sorting through my cupboards and found a few packs that went out of date dec 2011  I don't want to waste it and it's only plain stuff so I was gonna make some of the moouse.

Any wisdom? :)

I doubt very much it would kill you. But i have never had much success with out of date easiyo yoghurt mix, they have never thickened/set for me. Hopefully you will have much more luck :)

I'm working my way through 5 boxes of natural flavour that went out of date 09/12 - so not as old as yours. Seems fine to me.

make it up, if it doesn't thicken, use it to make scones

  • Thanks for all the replys

I'll make some up and see what happens. And good idea Plum2002 would never have thought of using it for scones, although I have made a nice curry from easiyo that would not thicken before, tasty and low fat. :)

I found some sachets at the back of a kitchen cupboard that expired between February and May 2016. I figured for the cost of a litre of skimmed (or semi skimmed) milk, I'd give it a go making it up with milk rather than water. Result: I now have thick, creamy Greek style yoghurt. It tasted a bit tart but nothing a spoonful of honey or jam wouldn't fix.

Probably another 15 sachets to use up so will keep trying this way.

What!!! Are you serious!!!! Have you seen the price of Easiyo????

If the ripp--off price isn't enough to put you off I looked at the ingredients for Black Cherry and it contain ABSOLUTELY ZERO black cherry. Oddly they do feel the need to use beetroot as a colouring...... what a con!

Yoghurt is so easy and cheap to make NOBODY should be using Easiyo!!!!

Ok that's it before I wear out must ! key!!!!
