Capital One Credit Card

Evening peeps, I hope there are still some people about. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if most people who apply for a capital credit card get accepted. My Barclaycard special rate ran out 28/2/13 and I have done a money saving expert pre apply eligbility check and capital is coming out at 80% acceptance, don't ask about the others (the story is just too long). I need to do a transfer balance as soon as possible but I'm scared to apply then get refused and it goes on my credit history.

Any help much appreciated. Thanks, Carol

Why would you want to transfer to capital one....since when do Capital one offer 0% on balance transfer....?

I guess the only way you'll find out is if you apply.

    also you could try
    http://fluid.co.uk/low-fee-balance-transfer-card/#

If they wont take you, they'll recommend companies that will.
    But nothing is certain.

Which of their cards are you referring to? - most of their balance transfer rates are extortionate. I recently got accepted for their Classic Extra MasterCard and the rates are just crazy.

you do know the moneysupermarket app that this site uses does guess, so dont be hung on it
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

There are longer 0% periods available - Natwest, MBNA and Teso cards springbto mind if you do not already have them. If you can pay off in 13 months then Natwest would only charge a 1% fee if accepted.

When I have done the free eligibility check Nat West, RBS, Halifax and others have said I have 0% chance of obtaining one that it is the only reason I have asked about Capital, I would, if I could get a Nat West one.
