Hi all
I need to get the render looked at on one of the walls of my house. It's a small Victorian house (the wall's approx 10m x 10m)but as it's on the end of the terrace it gets the brunt of the wind and the rain and is letting in a bit of penetrative damp.
The first quote we got was £4500 which is way beyond what we can afford, but as it's difficult to assess as it was an inclusive quote for everything incl scaffolding, finish etc. I'm asking them to break it down so I can get a better idea of the costs, but I just wondered if anyone could offer any advice on how these things break down and how t lower costs (e.g. choice of finish)?
ANy advice will be really gratefully received! Thanks.

Where are you located?
And yes it's a bit high priced, any chance of some pictures of it?0 -
Hi nelly
I'm in Bristol. I'll sort a photo if I can, but it's a pretty conventional house (conventional to Bristol, at least...)
Thanks for the response.0
