insurance database

I had a letter from budget car insurance putting up my premiums due to an undisclosed claim in April 2010 :(.
Now, I haven't had an accident or claim, ever!!! so I was a bit surprised.I argued my case with budget but eventually got fed up being passed around and ended up cancelling the policy and insuring with Swinton.
Guess what? 4 days later I got an update from them increasing the premium due to the same imaginary claim.
I understand that they all use the cue database but I'm bu**ered if I can get in touch with them to find out who lodged this claim :p
Any one got any ideas please? otherwise my unblemished insurance record is gone and up go my premiums

Also speak to your insurer at that time as it was most likely them that created the entry and it may be quicker than waiting for a SARs request to CUE

You didn't have any incident or event, even if no claim was made, which you discussed with your insurer at the time?

Thanks I've printed off the form and it's £10  My insurer at that time was the post office and they confirmed that there were no claims...after them the AA and then AXA ..(I'm an insurance tart):D..
But which one of them created the entry as it's only just come up? The post office say not them and I haven't got round to the others yet.

No incident...no contact...no nothing...just an undisclosed claim out of the blue and nearly 3yrs after...bloody odd :(:( It's either a scam or a data input error but it's going to cost me whichever it is and that's wrong.

Once you have the information about who is responsible, write to the offending company and request your fee back from them.
