Cant personally recommend anything I'm afraid as I am in a different part of the company, but have you tried looking at the good garage scheme? https://www.goodgaragescheme.co.uk. They list garages which have been recommended by others so could be worth a look if no-one else is able to help you.

Edited to add - Have just been told that this is a scheme run by Forte, who supply oil to the trade so may not be entirely independent.

Sorry quite a late reply but I highly recommend Paul who has a garage just round the back of Woolworths in Portswood.

£80 for a full service
Car taken to an independent MOT centre
never does any unneccessary work and is very good value with the work he does do.
