Its easily done. I listed something recently and then when it sold - i spent 2 days looking at it shaking my head.
I regretted selling it anyway - without the fact it was awkward to pack and more expensive than i thought.
Then i got an email from the buyer asking if the courier could deliver between 12 and 1 on saturday - impossible to arrange.
I then realised i needed to deliver it myself. The postage i had charged would cover the petrol if i drove - so i did it - and got them there at the time stated. Risked a paypal claim - but buyer seemed fine.
Lesson learned - wrap awkward items up and price postage properly BEFORE listing.
I agree with you about not asking for more postage.0 -
The people over on the EBay board might be able to offer advice, too, as it's their area of expertise, if you like. Hope you can get something sorted.0

Hi,
I'd post this in the ebay part of this board if i were you.
They give some really good advice over there.0 -
If, at the end of all this you do get a bad feedback, put a link to this thread as a response. If I were a future customer of yours, I'd br super-impressed at your dedication.
You do normally have to take pedals off to transport bikes by courier... worth checking if this is necessary, as they can be stiff as anything to get off. WD40 may help, especially if left on for a while before removing.
Take photos of it before wrapping and when wrapped in case of problems in transit.
Bed & furniture stores (DFS, etc) often have huge quantities of bubblewrap (well, the foamy sheet stuff) and cardboard, and they are glad to see the back of it usually.
Good luck!0
