I'd recommend Barclays:
-v.good price
- monthly payments without interest charge
- a year's free emergency cover

With a unique property like a thatched cottage you need to look at firms that specialize in this field and NFU Mutual is one such firm.Several others are thrown up by a Google and should be worth trying.Try "thatch insurance" and similar. As house insurance for thatch is expensive it is worth trying for several quotes and the specialists should be cheaper than the mainstream insurance companies as well as knowing reed from straw etc.0

Thatching only needs doing infrequently - you could be looking at every 50 years from what we've been told. No idea how much it costs though!0

Try this Thatch0

We are with Heritage who are cheaper than NFU and have been the cheapest for our thatched house every year we have been there.0
