Yep,. I agree. If its a private company then they'll think the op is taking the mick. Getting the doctor to write a letter explaining their issues may of been better but going sick isn't doing anyone any favours.

In the public sector its a totally different kettle of fish.. they almost reward you for going sick.

Please note it is PLC company and i have not asked the doctor to put me on a sick as he has told me that he is putting on sick leave as want to see what the issues are
I have to see him again next friday
