Are these the first payments from these companies? I'm wondering if the bank details could have been set up incorrectly. Faster payments are allowed to take until the end of the working day after payment, (so close of business today). I had a similar problem once transferring money between two of my own accounts on the last day of the month. It took much longer than normal
  • Hi thank you for you're reply no I get paid by there's company's every month and it's usually in there without fail it was supposed to go in yesterday

Have you checked with colleagues to see if their money has arrived? Normally if there's a widespread problem with a bank there'd be several threads by now. Alternatively try calling the bank again, you might get someone who knows the problem.
  • Yea everyone else has recieved there money and I have telephoned the bank 3 times and they claim it's nothing to do with them I just find it off that money from two different company's are missing

It sounds as though your pay is definitely awry. Talk to your HR people, in case something has changed at their end. As a last resort their bank can put a trace on the funds.

There are three likely explanations (there may be a few more less likely): 1) Both companies have messed up their payments, 2) Both companies use the same bank and that bank has had problems processing its payments, 3) LTSB have screwed up or have delayed the payments for fraud checking.

I think 3 is the most likely, but if the reason is the latter one then they won't be able to tell you why the payment isn't in your account.

You indicate that at least one of these payments is due to your partner-have his instructions to his company changed?

The OP never came back so I assume they sorted themselves out.

There were some problems with the Faster Payments system yesterday morning. I think Lloyds were one of the banks involved. There were some delays in sending/receiving payments but these were all resolved within a couple of hours.

    May have caused a backlog.

Unless the OP is like Milton Waddams in 'Office Space' (they couldn't be bothered to sack him so they just stopped paying him in the hope he'd get tired of turning up).
