Wowcher hair Extension Package Redeemed without service provided

I originally brought this voucher from Wowcher on 13/01/13. This was for set of hair extensions plus consultations. I went to place on 22/01/13 for hair consultation. Questions I asked were how many strands come with and regarding aftercare. When told 150 strands with package, listening to previous advice given I asked for cost of extra 50 strands. At no time I demanded 20 inch long strains as that would been ridiculous on my shoulder length hair and also it was my first time getting it done, so I had no ideas and was following their advice on it. Appointment for Hair extensions was set for 01 Feb 2013. Before this date I repeatedly rang them. Not just off mobile phones but also from land line at home. There was no answer or pickup, till Thursday 31/01/13 when I was informed that human hair extensions from their supplier is no longer in stock and that I had to wait 3 weeks more.
Now when I got the voucher and rang them initially I had explained I had to go to a social event on 02 Feb13 and needed it done before that, hence the appointment given to me for 02Feb 13. Now to make matters worse they had redeemed the voucher, while on ‘free consultation’ without informing me.
I got a shock when I wrote to Wowcher and I phoned them too. Their reply was voucher redeemed by merchant and refused to honour their 30 day warranty of refunds on a voucher as stated.
They wrote to merchant and merchant refused to honour my request for refund. After that I wrote again on 24 Feb13 to Wowcher asking for refund showing them my scanned pictures of phone logs and my attempts to ask merchant for money. Since then it’s been 5 days and they refuse to answer my emails or telephone calls ignoring them.

My question is can i take them to small claims court?

It is a small claims action in the county court, there is no small claims court as such. Write a 'letter before action' and send recorded delivery, e-mails and phone calls are next to useless since you cannot prove what was said or prove receipt. Alternatively you may be able to do some sort of chargeback depending how you paid.
