Tax Credits extra payment

I completed my annual review over the telephone last week and discovered today there is an extra payment in my account. Has this happened to anyone else or should i call them and let them know.

That's goodnews but then again we are talking tax credits.

I have the form in the draw and was about to call them with my updates. Mine is quite basic, no huge differences. Will keep you posted.

I got an extra payment through on friday, and it was more than i normally get per week

thanks guys someone said to be when you renew a claim it the system boots out a new payment. It was about a tenner more than my usual payment.

Did you renew yours to Bekki1 or was it just an extra payment ?

I was told that every time you give new information it generates another award and payment. Even something as simple as a change of payment method counts. I did that and got an extra week's payment of WTC, but the overall figure for the year was adjusted to reflect it.

I'd be a bit wary of this, I got an extra payment in the middle of the week last year and thought "yey" their mistake, but about a week later they sent a letter syaing they knew their error and were going to either make me send them a cheque or take it back off my yearly payments. So dont hold your breath.

just rang mine through. Will know of any difference within thenext 10days. Let'skeep all fingers crossed

I havent renewed yet, but i did ring and say i had a wage increase
