Would a change in government change your finances?

The sheer fact that Gordon Brown can not do is sums is glaringly obvious.
When I go for a job, I have to show my certificates and evidence of ability, references etc etc. Employers would hardly ever employ an engineer who had no certs; doctors in a hospital would need certs, experience, and carfully checked references, etc. All professional posts require this type of thing.
However, Gordon, previously Chancellor of Exchequer and recently inheriting the throne via Blair's resignation.....what were his qualifications, eh?
"Brown has a PhD in history from the University of Edinburgh and spent his early career working as a television journalist."

Great! Just the man to run this country's finances, and not surprising that he has near collapsed the very machinery of the financial system - the way we trade and barter with each other: MONEY itself. And we have all had to pile in £1000s of our own money to prop up the very system of money in the country, so we can continue to use money to barter with. And he even made a mess of that, with a large slice of our money paid out to mega bank bonuses. What is a historian doing at the wheel of the UK, never mind advising other countries how to get out of the same mess?
Well, naturally, he would like to see his name in history books of the future. And he surely will.0
