That's what I thought you said.

I find it scary that some would like to imply half a dozen anonymous internet posters claiming poverty is indicative of significant numbers being an interest rate rise away from repossession.

You are obviously looking for argument here. You want it all ignored, that's pretty obvious.

Close your eyes, pretend these people don't exist. Pretend others won't exist. I'll guarantee you that they will. Closing your eyes to it won't make any difference.

5 posters were probably Renoman or Harry Boyle or Pricklepants pretending to be in trouble.

In reality there was one genuine case.

As I'm discussing it's less than obvious that I'm ignoring anything.

In the real world if a BTL's costs exceed income and they can't increase rent then they've got to fund the difference on a monthly basis or sell - they might have a shortfall that they'll negotiate with B&W to resolve.

End result - some people will be repossessed as a result of this but the numbers, despite your in-depth research on mumsnet , will be broadly in-line with typical repossession rates and far far less than you hope.

So should those who religously thank their own posts. :rotfl:

    With endless sockies to match.

How long's the current incarnation going to last before the medication wears off.

You keep alluding to this and yet keep it to your usual cryptic level. Why not come out and say what you mean in plain English - for the first time in your MSE life?

Which other username am I using to thank myself?

As usual, the logic behind your post is flawed. Who is more likely to create sockies to pretend that they are in financial trouble because they have IO mortgages and have overstretched themselves because they thought 'low rates are the new norm'?

Housing 'bears' (who come on here day in and day out with exactly that message) or housing 'bulls' who come on here and argue against that exact message. Why would people you consider to be housing 'bulls' create people in trouble when it undermines their argument?

Once again thrug, you're showing that you're really not very bright. :)

To be fair, your coming across as a bit of an ar8e on that thread, considering you've been in similar position.

There is a vast difference between complaining that the terms of an agreement were changed without your agreement and complaining that the terms of the agreement that you signed up for have been followed.

I don't like that T&Cs tend to be incredibly biased in the companies favour. However that is a regulation issue not the fault of the companies themselves; obviously they will protect themselves in the terms where they can.

A similar situation with the student loan company has made me a very cynical individual when it comes to the finance system and who it is there to help. They chose to completely ignore the terms I had signed up to and changed how they calculated interest for a year to avoid it going negative; the change was probably only worth ~£50 to me, but having the terms of an agreement torn up in front of your face without apology has changed how I look at the world considerably.

I am sure he will do an Arnie at some point, perhaps he will return as Ralph or Whittaker :)

And the usual suspects + associated sockies will again gang up on him.

An interesting poster with lots to say about about mortgages, DIY, energy efficiency and home improvement gets PPR'd...

....while sockies with absolutely nothing to say like Dribley, Roundabouts, shortchanged et al remain untouched.
