I am rather baffled as to who is re-wired, who lurks around like a shadow and always thank's this poster. Because he has never yet made a post of his own.

Could it be his twin brother?

It's common knowledge that it's Devon. Really sad, but there you go. He loves 'thanks' so much that he created a puppet just for that.

He must have been mortified when the MSE forum team talked about getting rid of 'thanks'. I believe he had to have counseling to get over the shock. :rotfl:

So should those who religously thank their own posts. :rotfl:

    With endless sockies to match.

How long's the current incarnation going to last before the medication wears off.

Edit: What's scary again is there appears to be quite a few on there who will also be crippled by this and reposessed (these are all BTLs). I just don't know how. They bought pre 2004?

I know how. If someone bought pre-2004 and is going to find a 4.5% mortgage rate leads to repossession then they're either exaggerating or stupid or both.

You mentioned that 13,000 will be affected by this rate rise - how many do you think will be repossessed?

    How scared are you?

Did BOI lend loosely like NRAM and B&B? That might be the reason for the fuss. Lenders have previously raised rates for millions without a murmor.

If I was to guess I would say the loan book at B&W isn't as secure as most. Still won't cause a ripple in repossession figures (as last August's SVR rises didn't).

The only fuss is from Graham.

    Who said it would?

Seems to me you simply don't like the fact it's happened, and dislike people talking about it even more.

Brit1234 used to start these kind of threads, one was about Santander making margin calls on BTL loans. It affected a few thousand people and had no impact at all except for a few pages on this internet forum with Graham and the rest of his gang getting excited. This will probably end up going the same way with no impact in the real world.

I thought you said it was getting all scary (what with 5 people on internet forums saying they'll be repossessed).

Now you seem to be agreeing that it'll make little difference.

    You thought wrong.

Read what I wrote instead of playing a stupid game.

I said it's scary to think there are some who are suggesting this will cripple them.

That's what I thought you said.

I find it scary that some would like to imply half a dozen anonymous internet posters claiming poverty is indicative of significant numbers being an interest rate rise away from repossession.
