Need a sub-folder in opera favourites bar

I use Opera, but have forgotten how to create a sub-folder that I can title "travel" and have all associated travel sites listed within. Because I have IE and am familiar with FF/Chrome, I like to have my favourites along the top. A dozen individual icons and the sub-folders are easily accessed. Already I have a few sub-folders, but to add another ?, I'm beat, can you advise please?
Actually, out of frustration I decided to remove Opera and installed Firefox. Slowly I went through each of my favorites to see if there was any noticeable difference. It seems that on almost all of the favourites, up popped a notice stating " Adobe Flash Player 11.6 r602 has stopped working etc". I read elsewhere this is not unusual, and it is recommended a lower version is used. Surely this can't be so? Anyone have a suggestion to make. Ideally I would like to use FF but don't want constant boxes popping up, so this too has been removed and now I'm trying Chrome. Have I found an issue here ?, well sort of, on my yahoo email page, whilst I have no problem with my email address being filled in, I don't like the idea of the password ********also entered. I need to be able to enter the password myself. So once again, any idea's here please.

Re Opera - right click on Tabs bar --> Customize --> Appearance --> Toolbars tab and check Bookmarks bar to active.
Then go to Opera main menu and select your Bookmarks list as usual. Right click on any bookmarks folder, e.g. 'Travel,' select Properties and then check 'show on Bookmarks bar.'604!0 -
Actually read your original post and realised you want to add a new bookmarks folder.
Opera menu --> Bookmarks --> Manage Bookmarks, select the 'Add' button at the top left of the bookmarks manage page and select 'New folder.'
You can also create a new folder when bookmarking a page:
Right-click on webpage --> bookmark page and the 'Add bookmark' dialog opens. From there you can select the 'New folder' button to create a folder you want the page to go in or you can select an exisitng folder from the drop down list.604!0 -
Thanks for your detailed instructions to create a folder in the favorites bar which runs along the screen (as in IE/Chrome etc), I have installed opera again.
Despite trying both your tips, the folder/s keep arriving in bookmarks, but in the drop down list. I can't drag them or create them along the top. My aim is to have folders for travel sites/newspapers, photographic/incidental/phone/television/maps/incidental but all abbreviated.
Maybe you would re-read your post, just in case you have inadvertently missed out something...............but no doubt it's me.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I am making slow progress but have noted that my version of opera is 12.14 and many people have noted that it is flawed with hiccups. Aside from that, my chosen homepage is google, yet it would appear from endless things I've read today, the word google & opera are not compatible. I will try to produce the folders (8 in total) to show on bar, but it is no easy thing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I'm on 12.14.
Have you actually set the bookmarks bar to active before trying to display folders on it?604!0 -
