Hotel wins for partners

  • Not quite the same, but last year I won a spa weekend and took my sister for her birthday. I still had to pay for dinner and drinks so it worked out at about what I would normally spend anyway, but she got a much better present and we got to spend time together, which is difficult as we live at opposite ends of the country. She loved it, even knowing it was a win!

    This for me also :D

I'm the main comper in the household but he enters the biggies and a few others in his breaks at work.
If he came home and told me he had won us a break away and it could be for our aniversary then that would be grand enough for :D

Same as if I win any F1 or motorbiking goodies he would be well chuffed even if I gave them as gifts for a birthday say.

I mainly enter comps because they give me the opportunity to have things/do things that are not always in our price range :)

I'd just see it as a present & be glad of it :-)

Hard times we live in & presents are hard to find for many of us.

Couldn't have said it better myself.;)

...in fact - I'd enjoy it more because you hadn't had to pay for it!

Anyway, if you OH does complain tell them it gives you more cash to spend on the both of you from what you've saved;):D

I agree, I'd enjoy it more knowing that it hadn't cost us an arm and a leg :)

They put in the effort to actually enter and win, grab it with both hands with a huge grin on your face :D
