Ask the water company what your pressure is, you need at least 1 bar for the boiler pressure.
Have you got the filling loop open properly? some have a tap BOTH ends.

Have you got 2 isolating valves on your filling loop? If so are you turning both on?

Have you got the boiler manual? If not, there might be one online. You might even find a YouTube video. Mine has a locking valve, operated with a plastic key, and a small valve, that opens the water flow.

Whats your pressure like at the normal sink tap?
  • thank you for your advice. The tap water pressure is fine;it is just the boiler, that when I turn the switch on (in the past, you will hear the water get into the system, and the pressure would increase), nothing happened.

Find the main stopcock for the property and ensure it's fully open (also check when you do that it doesn't leak).

Check that when you open the valve to fill the boiler that the valve is actually open.

Check the filling process in the manual

Failing that tell us the make & model of the boiler as anything else will probably mean taking bits off to see what point the water gets to.
  • Thank you very much for all ur advice, I think the problem is the isolation valve switch is not working ( a blue plastic key came off when i turned it). Trying to replace one this weekend, will post the update! Thank you again!

Use a small pair of grips or pliers to turn the metal stub that the plastic blue head came off.

Dont any qualified engineers know about "SPANNERS" these days so as not to cause damage by using Pliers or grips with serated faces!!!!!!
