Changing next of kin details on a passport

Hi folks
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but thought would start it off here...
Does anyone know any info / guidelines about changing the next of kin details on a passport? The passport has only just been renewed in the last couple of years so it's not just a simple case of waiting until it expires.
Can I just put a sticker over the top with new details on? Does this invalidate the passport as its considered to be tampered with?
Cheers!

IMO just put a small piece of paper inside the passport with new next of kin and date.
Again IMO you crossing out the old details and inserting new ones should be ok BUT just in case a jobsworth at an airport is bored etc and tries to cause you bother over it don't do it.
If you are that worried I would make sure that your will is up to date before travel.0 -
It's quite normal to have stickers put on the pages of your passport, visas and immigration forms stapled in etc., so I don't think there's a worry about tampering (only on the photo page, which is the important part!) I have a sticker on mine, have done for years, 20+ countries including the US. I think it's the most sensible solution.0

When I've needed to do this I just printed out the new details and stuck them over the original page. No-one has ever said anything, and I've been through a few immigration points (most notably Kiev and Buenos Aires) that have scrutinised every inch of my passport as I now look rather different to my photo and my passport is starting to look rather well-used.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
I think I might try crossing out and using a sticker.
Thanks everyone :-)0
