Ah, OK. So I think asking my employer for more money in my salary each month to cover the car is the best thing to do. I can then claim the mileage back after that....0

For you, you'd ideally want it as more salary as then it counts towards bonuses, pensions etc. Most however will give it to you as a separate line as a "Car Allowance" thus you get it in your take home pay but when you get your 10% bonus etc it doesn't count towards that.0 -
How secure is the job though. You dont want to take a 2 / 3 year deal and then in 3 months time they say by bye.
