Car accident, my response (what do I say)

I've been involved in a car accident and I have a firm who working on my case on behalf on my insurance have sent me out a letter but I'm struggling to say in the response, where by I don't want to say anything that will be negative on my side. The letter says:
I have received a response from the acting solicitor for xxxxx,
I have asked them to confirm their route their client states she was taking at the time of the accident and have attached a copy of their response to this letter.
You will note that she has indicated that she also entered the roundabout from the middle lane of islington row, middleway and remained in this lane as she traveled around the roundabout.
Please could you whether you noted what lane xxxx was in when she entered the roundabout and if you saw her vehicle at any point as you were both travelling round the roundabout (pior to the collision?)
Basically, I was in the middlelane, coming on to the roundabout, taking the second exit, which has two exits. She was in the left lane, she wanted to go to the third exit, so drifted across my lane, which is the middle lane and in the processed hit my side passenger door. My front end has no damage at all, except for the passenger door.
She should of been in the middle lane, if she wanted to take the third exit.

many thanks guys.

I think a picture would be good here so we could see the lay out.All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0

was your car a gold punto? and was she a driving instructor, seems strange this very roundabout and very same scenario has appeared here before under a different name.0

So you were in lane 2 of 3 on Islington Row,3rd party was in lane 1 as you say.
According to the letter,"You will note that she has indicated that she also entered the roundabout from the middle lane of islington row, middleway and remained in this lane as she traveled around the roundabout"
If,as you say she was in lane 1 on Islington Row,she would end up in the lane for the A456,which is clearly stated(painted) on the roundabout. And the A456 was your direction of travel. Whereas, the 3rd Party was aiming for the A4540. This will make the 3rd party at fault0 -

Exactly, Could you tell me if this is ok, in response to the question?

answer: I noted that the third party was in the the left lane and this was before third party had reach the roundabout. Third party entered the roundabout still in the left lane, eye contact with third party vehicle was made as I was a 1/4 across the roundabout. With the last contact made when third party switched lanes and hit the nearside quarter of my passenger side door.£1600 saved in bank, target 20K by 1st march 2014.

Seems fine to me.
The third party was in the wrong lane and you were in the right lane.
The number of people who don't understand which lane to be in on a roundabout scares me daily. :mad:I was a DFW, now I'm a MFW :T0 -
It doesn't matter if you had noticed the 3rd party car. You had took it on board, subconsciously that traffic to your near-side was travelling in the same direction as you. Unfortunately, the 3rd party is not operating on the same wavelength0

I am a little unclear as to which point the TP entered the roundabout as your dotted line shows the point of entry but the TP blue line starts already on the roundabout.
Did she pull on from the same place you did or from Exit 1 (as you've labeled it)? If from the same place then who pulled on first?
Personally I would change your drawing slightly.... have solid lines for both parties from before the point of entry to the point of collision and then change to the dotted lines for both vehicles to show their intended routes.
What is their version of events then? That you were in lane 3 intending to take the 2nd exit (given they claim they were in lane 2 when you claim you were also in lane 2)?
By the sounds of it lane markings are not going to particularly help because there is a dispute of which vehicle was in which lane. Your response to your representatives should be that the TP's version of events is erroneous because they were in lane 1 not lane 2 as they state.0
