'offers in the region of £...'

A few houses we are viewing have the price advertised as 'offers in the region of'
One we like was at 'offers in the region of £375,000'.
What would you class as 'in the region of' against a price of 375k?

Ignore it and offer what you think the property is worth :)

Offers in the Region is just the same as any asking price.. They can ask what they want, but what is offered is a different matter.

What do you feel the property is worth to you? whats the market like in the area? when did a house last sell nearby of that type.

I would take as the price is open to negotiation. start below what you want to pay and see how it goes..

How about "offers over..."? Should a buyer still make an offer below the stated figure?

It doesnt really matter whether it says over or in the region of. Offer what you think it is worth.
