  • Morning all. Had a few items end on eBay last night. Funny how when I list something for 99p when I have previously listed it 3 times at £7.99 it then goes for £11.99! Obviously not complaining! With the couple of other items I sold thats another £17.31 to add. Also got £5 for giving someone a lift home but will put that in the penny jar as that will be opened this month and added (can't wait!) I haven't done anything about my eBay listings this weekend yet oops. Mothers Day tomorrow so can't see me getting much done then, so need to get as much done today as possible. I have always got 37 relists I can fall back on. So need to get a minimum of 51 listings done this weekend.

sorry but who told you that? DTD is still alive and very much kicking!

Call head office and tell them, you should have received double the difference back as they overcharged you for something on promo.

And hopefully they will call the store for you and you can go back and get your money and hopefully the item free.

Greyhoundangel - hope you get your DTD tesco refund sorted. Please don't be put off selling on eBay. People only post to have a moan when things are a little more hassle - you don't get a balanced view of the 99% of times things are fine and over the years I have made thousands selling unwanted stuff and very very rarely have a problem.

I would suggest "dipping your toes in" with it and maybe listing a couple of things that are fairly low value just to get a feel for it. The main thing is to take several picture of your item and try and give a detailed description and be as accurate as you can be about item condition (eg with clothes are there any pulls on the fabric / evidence of wash wear etc). It can be helpful to look at similar items that have sold to give you an idea what you may get for it. If you can, weigh our item on kitchen scales and check the Royal Mail website for postage fee's ......I have lost out under guessing post weights before now so bought myself a £5 digital kitchen scale which has more than paid for itself!! Just remember - you usually end up paying 10% of the sale price in fee's to eBay and PayPal charge you too depending in how much buyer pays you.

Once you have done it a few times I bet you will be hooked!!!!

Totally agree with this... I have had a rough ebay week and had a moan but on the whole its really good, works well and a great way of making money for things you dont want... The benefits far out weigh any hiccups. And like others have said its very addictive- think thats why i was so cross love watching how my listings are doing.

Been out all day doubling someone money. Bought an item for £75 and just sold it for £150 to cex- couldn't believe my luck! I almost bit their hand off! Now relisting stuff that hasn't sold on a 1 day listing, then will relist tomorrow for 7 days. Not going to be able to do 80 odd new listings so will just top up relists with new ones. Scared eBay are going to think this is business with the amount Im selling- I just have a lot of treasures to get rid of!
