Hi everyone,
Sorry I've not been posting, but I've been avidly reading this and February's post. This will be an extremely long post just to warn you. I had to leave my job last month (putting in a claim for constructive dismissal after advice from and employment lawyer and ACAS) so I've had the chance to really step it up.
Totally love the double your money challenge. Here are some items I've picked up lately and what they've sold for (before taking fees into account)
Super badge it cost £1.50 at a car boot. Sold for £4.99
Apricot dress 50p from a car boot, sold for £6.50
Sims 3 game £1.50 from a charity shop. Sold for £14
Sims 3 Katy perry expansion £1.50 cs sold for £10
Size 22 dress £1 boot sale sold for £4.99
Genuine HP ink cartridge bought for 50p at a car boot. Sold for £4.05
Then we went into charity shops last week to find clothes to sell with this challenge in mind, when my boyfriend spotted a sign saying that that Saturday they were doing 'fill a bag for £5'. Turned up first thing and filled SIX bags with plus size dresses (always sell well for me), Monsoon, Next and ASOS stuff, even a pair of Clarks brand new shows. I'm saving them for this weekend's free listing.
My bf has been getting into selling his old warhammer on eBay. I don't know if many of you like to do international postage, but he went to the effort of providing the postage on the listings, I think the prices were uk, Europe, America and rest of the world. It took some effort but this time over half of his items were sold internationally. It started a bidding war! We've yet to see whether this was a good idea or not, but we've got all proof of postage. I'm definitely going to go to the effort of pricing everything up for international postage, perhaps after the price increases though!
I don't have my total for the month yet. My aim was to make £500 this month and I've got £354 banked so far, with £100+ in PayPal atm but I need to pay postage for 10 parcels.
I did a massive four mystery shops today too! So lots in the pipeline.
Anyway, I had some questions. Does anyone still do 'telemarketing'? I've had a chat with my bf and we are exploring all options. It would be great if someone could give me some advice or point me in the direction of when it was last discussed?
And I've gone and forgotten the other questions. I will leave it for now as this reply is really starting to get long.
ETA my other question was about money making apps? I've got get jam, appxpert, qustodian, field agent (never had a job from them though), shopitize, tcb, quid co and I've just got apptrailers. Any more I should know about?I like to make money

Wow emmaglet - huge good luck for the constructive dismissal claim - having been there and considered going down the legal route myself i know exactly how difficult a situation that is, and how much energy and sheer balls it takes to fight back. Good on you for putting on the gloves
Re the international postage, again from experience i would just be a little careful regarding proof of posting - to make a claim for non delivery you need to use international recorded delivery - i had several claims made last jan after lots of christmas sales and i got stung quite badlyotherwise i would agree on the larger market making a difference with bidding, its just worth making sure you are covered.
Well done too on the charity shop purchases and salesi love the fill a bag option - i would have gone shopping crazy LOL!

Shop scan save - another one that.gives you a discount on food. It is in Martins email but I have been using.this on and off long before Martin fiscovered it.
I would say goto their website and print off the barcode and take it with you when you shop. It is easier.
Nat is the one you want to talk to about telemarketing.
There are a couple more apps but need to get ready for work so will post later.0 -
and another 160.13 for me for cancelling unneeded work from a tradesmen - i know they have to try and make a living but they could at least be a bit subtle about trying to add on unneccessaries
345.57 /310 so far - wow!!
revised target is set at 500:)0 -
Another £10.30 to add as customer has now paid for ebay item. These cost me £2 so a good profit
Got an extra job today but will add that when I have the cold hard cash
Good luck :T
Debt free and Mortgage free thank you to all for your encouragement and advice :j
Crazy Clothes challenge £300/£48 and 5 months /0 without spending :T0 -
Adding another £19.28 from late payers. Sod's law the item that went for the most still hasn't been paid for! Only £8 but went for double the start price on 3rd relist! Going to start prepping for weekend free listing. Think I'm going to rely on as many new items rather than relists as possible. Will also try and get some one day listings done on Saturday then relist then for a week on Sunday just to take full advantage. I'm hoping they increase my 100 item limit soon, although I know I'm lucky to have such a high limit (linked it to my business account). So my aim for this weekend is to get 80 new items listed, and to relist the items that sold but were never paid for. What's everyone else going for?£20 a day April 2014 £834.87/£600 :j

Very quiet week. Nothing to add as an still waiting for an ebay payment. Got a couple of items finishing tomorrow, both have bids on so there should be something soon.
Today if I am feeling better than I am at the moment I will be doing photos ready fo the weekend.0 -
I resisted the urge to go for AGC on swaggers (only just as i had talked myself into needing an external hard drive to back up my computer to......then had a serious word with myself and backed up online instead
) I only claimed £10 paypal yesterday as i haven't done it before with swaggers and just want to check it goes though ok etc.
going to do some prep for ebay too - have loads of stuff to choose from and an empty ebay account so thats a no brainer! Going to do some BIN items i think as not done any for a while. The car is still packed from last weeks car boots too - not sure if i'm fit enough to do another this weekend but its ready should i feel up to it
off to do a couple of surveys and swaggers then housework beckons - such a rock and roll life i live LOL!Debt at Aug 2010 (LBM) £21,908.86, Debt Freeeeee Date 4th Nov 2013 :j:j:j Massive Thanks to the £10 per day thread :A Next goals:Savings £1203.16/£10,000******Mortgage to Zero: £52,579.46 to go

£42.30 received from We buy books today;
and £35 for scooter;
found another few books to sell (only about £20 this time) but wont count that until received.
So that's me off the starting blocks. Not sure where else I can make some money so think I will go back over the thread and look for inspiration! For some reason I am ebayophobic - I worry about people saying things didn't arrive or getting other hassle. However, I do have kids clothes, some too small Monsoon clothes and some shoes that might sell well on there so I know I should try.Allypops
