RANT ! - I quite possibly have the meanest landlord !

:eek:Things went from bad to worse when I came to find the house had been burgled  . Hence why i was unable to reply. Unfortunately my laptop was stolen and have only just managed to replace it !
Moving forwards, I finally got the landlord to agree for me paying for another tenant on a 6 month tenancy. I also asked him to reduce the monthly rent and I would make up the difference. I would pay this up front in order that I could be released from the tenancy. He agreed to reduce it a little (but not enough, and remember I am paying) but do feel this minute reduction is hardly enough to warrant another tenant wanting to take this lease on. The property is extremely dated and tired and needs a complete overhaul. There are 17 other FULLY MODERNISED properties to let in the town at similar rents ! so why someone would want this place, is beyond me ! I would hazard a guess, that of the 17 other properties, at least 8 have been available for over 4 months !
I am still of the same opinion that I have a mean and obstructive landlord !
I am now at a loss as to my next move, if any ? ...............
