Help with DLA application

Hi
My daughter has a quite rare eye condition called Ocular Motor Apraxia and I have been adviced that I might be able to claim DLA
However I have the form and looking through it they ask for people they can speak to about her condition
Now here I have a problem - she has peadiatrition and a Ophthalmologist but to be honest - and im not exageratting here - they havnt a clue!
Very little research into the condition has been done in this country so my worry is if I put their names on the form they will give them some rubbish from a book and not actually look at my daughter and what she is and isnt able to do!
I have been told I can give them the name of my health visitor instead (who actually knows my daughter) is this right? Will this be satisfactory?
Ive also been told that there are key terms they look for in an application, anyone know what this might be?
I want to enrol my daughter in some special sessions to help her develop and was hoping to use any DLA I might recieve towards paying for them, so any help on this would be greatly recieved

If you have any problems filling in the forms and the above website doesn't answer all the questions then advice you to see a citizen advice bureau.
Yes you can name your health visitor for reference.Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

Have you found https://www.specialkidsintheuk.org ? There are parents on there, and I think at least one with a child with something similar to your daughter. Also lots of parents who know all about the form filling in!0

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.
