    Best buys:

Aveda Be Curly shampoo and conditioner.Only used trial size so far but when I do there is a noticeable difference to my natural curls.

    Holika Holika BB cream

    Lancome Colour Ideal

MAC studio fix and studio sculpt

Benefit Posie tint -wouldn't live without it (although haven't bothered with my face recently)

Clarins cleansing milk with alpine herbs and their normal/dry toner.Best I've ever tried.

Soap and Glory Wish Upon a Jar-moisturiser with collagen boost, use for 21 days every 3 months.Excellent stuff!

Ayeisha face mask from Lush before a night out knocks years off you ;)

    Worst:

Anything at all from bodyshop.Always has an undertone chemical scent,is overpriced and just not very good.

L'orreal professional shampoo and conditioner range, along with tresemme, leave a gritty feel to my hair.

No7 hydrating face mask.Dries my skin beyond belief!

    Best buys.

L'oreal Youth code moisturiser. I've gone back to this after trying others and I can't believe I stopped using it. I love it.

Alpha H products. Not on the high st, the whole range is brilliant esp. the cleanser.

Morroccan hair oil. Divine smell, lovely sleek hair finish.

Fudge colour lock shampoo. Smells gorgeous and suits my hair well.

    Worst buys.

Tresemme conditioner. If the above comments are anything to go by these products have got an undeserved good reputation. I bought a big bottle and I wouldn't buy it again.

Garnier Fructis range. I've got naturally curly hair, but it just stripped my hair and left it dull and lifeless.

Interesting about electric toothbrushes, both me and my husband have gone back to manual and got better results.

Agree about electric toothbrushes, I've one for years to great effect.

My best buys recently have been Avon skin care. They had some mega price reductions a few months ago and I bought the day and night cream for over 60s and its really good.

I love most things by L'Occitane but they are expensive so it is a rare treat.

Tip for anyone going into hospital - they do a fab lavender hand cleansing gel

Worst buys were Aldi skin cream. It was cheap but had a greasy feel and my skin did not like it.

I love Soap & Glory "Wish upon a jar". Haven't bought any in ages, but your post reminded me on about it. Which spf do you use with it?

    Best buys

Clinique super balance make up foundation, also love their thirst relief moisturiser.

Mitchum roll on deodorant (IMHO nothing else is as good or lasts)

Anything by frizz ease for my super curly hair.

    Worst buys

Tried Est!e Lauder foundation, was awful, looked really patchy when it was on, complete waste of money.

Tend to stick to what I like to be honest.

    My best buys would be.....

Clinique All About Eyes......I love the texture of this (gel/cream) and as I have given up hope of ever finding anything that does anything for dark circles, I stick with this!! I'm pushing 40 and have no crows feet, so it certainly does something - I've been a fan since it was launched back in 97/98 if memory serves.

Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara......used this for even longer!! Stays put all day and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. I don't bother with mascara in the hayfever season though!!! And my DH goes stateside a couple of times a year, I get him to stock me up on my Clinique faves as it's much cheaper over there (and he always gets tons of freebies!!!!)

Gillette ladies Sensitive shaving gel......the ONLY thing I can use which doesn't irritate my legs!!! (apart from my husband's Clarins shaving foam which is lovely.....but don't tell him I use that when mine runs out......:rotfl::rotfl:)

Aqueous cream.....I always have a tub of this in, it's the only thing I can use on my legs after I shave them! Cheap as chips too.

Naked shampoo for sensitive scalps......recently discovered this and it does wonders for an itchy scalp, lathers up, rinses out well and smells lovely too!

Another recent find is the Nivea Pure and Naturals range......not too many nasties in this, good price and doesn't sting my face (I have the cleanser and the day cream for dry/sensitive skin)

Worst buys......unfortunately as I have a very temperamental, sensitive skin, there are too many to mention!!!!! The only thing is that any shampoos/conditioners I don't get on with I keep for my DD who may only be 8 but has thick, wavy/curly hair so needs lots of conditioner!!

Sleek eyeshadow palettes. Really cheap but the colours are brilliant, they're really pigmented and last nicely.

Mitchum deodorant is the best I've ever used as well!
    Kate.
  • Forever Living Deodorant, i really love it..it seems expensive when you buy it, but it lasts for many... lol... really recommend to you..
