I sent an e-mail with 545kb attachment-which wss received .
However when I click onto that e-mail to delete it from the send file it will not open and everything freezes up,I can not move anything.
Only is to ctrl, alt del and back to desktop,I have tried reboot etc but no luck.
I have SP2 pack and being working no problems all other mails etc work ok.
Any ideas on this

Have you tried to wait? It could be your anti-virus - uudecoding and scanning attachment. Another possibility - has that message been digitally signed?

Instead of using delete, try dragging it from 'Sent Items' to the 'Deleted Items' folder.

just highlight the file in your sent solder and then holding down the left mous button move the pointer to the deleted folder on the left hand side of outlook express and then release the mouse key

if the folders box is not there activate it first by opening "view" on the top toolbar and then "Layout" and tick the folders box....then do the above

Left click and hold down the mouse button on the title of the e-mail in the Sent Items folder. Drag it to the Deleted Items folder in the Outlook bar.

    try downloading this

    http://www.eudora.com/

import all your stuff from outlook express (it leaves it all in Outlook express) and run that as a short term measure if we cannot get to the bottom of this straight away

are you using any virus software ??

    if so which one ??

I had a problem with a corrupt signature in AVG that did something similar, or it could be the virus software email scanner that is causing the problem...try killing the virus software before you run outlook express

Try exporting all your messages and address book to a temp folder on your C: drive.

Then uninstall and reinstall OE. Import the stuff back in from its temp location.
