    Yep, I based my calculation on that too - but still brings cost to £438 for a potentially inferior model. So it comes down to the specs and if that is what the OP needs.

    'Mr K' meant i3 for £266, not i5.
    Inferior? Who cares? I never use more than 5Gb of my 16Gb and more than 10% of CPW power.
    And often I have 5-6 Applications running and dozens of tabs open in the browsers.

    It's mainly gamers that need superior PCs.

    Ah, I see. In that case the big difference would lead me to agree. Plus I have never had a problem with Dell and find they use reliable parts.
