Delivery to where the ticket says it was!

Hi,

I order something from Amazon on Sunday and today when I got home, I found a delivery ticket pushed through the door stating that they have left the parcel in the garage. Just been in the garage and no parcel! :(:(

Planning on phoning the delivery company to find out what can be done, but not holding much hope. Checked on Amazon and it states Delivered 'Garage'.

Does anyone know what my rights are to try and get this mess sorted out. Cost a load of money and can not afford to replace:mad:

Thanks in advance

Phone amazon. It's their responsibility to get the parcel to you safely.

    They will ultimately be responsible.

  • Thanks for the advice. I think I'll try them first then.

I was amazed they just left it as it was £400!!!

Yes someone has got a nice free gift!

Ultimately I wouldn't worry as amazon have proof it was just left there with no signature. I am sure after a short investigation they will either refund or ship another!

Amazon customer service are really good, have a chat on the phone or the online chat. They might be able to get a replacement out to you by the weekend if you explain the urgency. Whenever you buy anything online it's the seller's responsibility to prove you received the item, not just that they sent it out. Clearly if the courier can access your garage so can any passing thief.

Let's hope it's one more nail in the coffin of Yodel's contract with Amazon. Whilst the OP hasn't named the courier concerned, I'd lay money on it being them.

They would just be replaced with Hermes who get as many complaints!
