Dont know if I should post this here but I will anyway. Just got back from a&e where my daughter is asleep under observation after taking a massive overdose of paracetomol, sleeping pills and anti depressants. She suffers with anxiety and depression and a problem at work seems to have pushed her over the edge. Luckily she told me within an hour and she got to hospital within 3. They have her on a drip to counteract the paracetomol ( has to be done within 8 hours ) and although she was very agitated she is now asleep and they have sent us home. seems she will be on the drip for 20 hours and then they will check her bloods again.
I was in such a state I could not even go with her in the ambulance. Hope she has not done any real damage. This is not the 1st time but the last time was over 9 years ago and I really thought she would not do it again.
Must go to bed now to get a little sleep before going back.
  • Beddie byes for me too.
Before I go if anyone knows of somewhere in NI that I could buy a cheapish (i.e. not much more than £60) interior door measuring 82cm by 201.5cm could you let me know please.
B&Q have 7 to choose from but not too sure of them, homebase have 1 but it's the same as the one the 'beast' has destroyed. I would prefer a solid wood, maybe with glass panels at the top but def solid at the bottom.
I would love not to have to do much to it when I get it but know that won't be happening as most of the taller ones are a couple of cms taller so will need plained down a bit.

Oh and the beast has worked out how to open the new baby gates :(. Have lost a few of the bottom bits to my vertical blinds!! I'm not a happy bunny.

    Well good night.

Maybe you need a metal door? Hubby told me tales of his boxer - when he got mad with him he used to chew up 2"x4" timber. Hubby loved the dog & he sounded a character. When hubby used to mow his large garden the dog used to go get him a bottle of beer from the fridge & sit with him when he drank it. The dog must have decided he needed to try it so when he put the bottle down he upended it in his mouth, From then on he used to go to the fridge twice - making sure he had one too. :D
Hubby wants another boxer - after hearing his tales & reading yours that's a NO from me. A cavalier will do nicely!
  • Thanks for the new thread.
