Hope everyone's ok, hugs to everyone who needs one esp ((((((logie & 3Dogs))))))

I remember someone posting a while ago about the 500 cc points when pre ordering certain dvds and games - how does this work pretty please? Do I pay the whole amount now like it's asking then get a refund when they come? TIA xx

    more horse meat
We said we’d keep testing our food to make sure what’s
on the label is exactly what’s in the packet. We’ve tested over 500 products so
far. We’re sorry to say that today a fourth product has tested positive. The
Tesco Simply Roast Meatloaf 600g was found to contain between 2-5% horsemeat.
This product has been immediately withdrawn from sale.

Got to question the timing of this glitch :D A good tactic to divert negative publicity about yet more horse meat found in a Tesco product. What better way than a lucrative glitch that would make the headlines........

I decided to email the Shop Scan Save people about Monday night's Maltesers palaver and got this very quick response -

There should be no reason why this Coop refused to honour the offer! We have worked with Coops to spread awarness of the app and there have been SHOP SCAN SAVE redemptions so far in over 70% of the Coop estate nationwide. In fact over 6,300 people redeemed the Maltesers offer in over 2,000 Coop stores in the last week! Head Office have sent through multiple bulletins to inform all the stores.

I Just spoke to DENISE - DUTY MANAGER. She remembers you and admitted a bit embarrassed that she wasn't sure how to make the redemption. I took her through it and she knows how to do it and will tell all staff. She encouraged you to come back anytime soon to redeem. She was keen also that you should know that you will be able to use the app regularly in their store to get discounts!

Again - sincere apologies for this experience - it shouldn't have happened. We've worked really hard to educate all Coop stores but in some instances staff aren't fully aware yet.

My colleague Simon will allocate you 3 FREE KIT KATS in recognition for the trouble you've had

Well done, Could you please explain how this app works, and what you have to do, I have not got a smart phone at the minute, but my friend has and I was telling her about the deals on here and she is interested in it, but had no idea what to do.

    I have been thinking ..............

now that Sainsbugs and Tesco can INSTANTLY compare other supermarkets prices, wouldnt it be wise for one of them to just compare at the till and give you your shopping the cheapest available there and then rather than give a voucher to get you back in the store?
that way, the customer would KNOW that they have got their shopping cheaper and more chance of them going back.

As it is now, if your shopping is cheaper elsewhere Sainsbugs will give you a brand match to get you back in their store again, and Tesco will give you a price porkie.

Now if i was a "normal shopper" (whatever one of them is) with a measly voucher in my hand I would think twice about going back somewhere when i knew that they were dearer than elsewhere because they told me so at the till and gave me a voucher to prove that they had just ripped me off!

The only way i would go back and shop there again is if my voucher was for a decent amount and i didnt want to waste it, say 5-6 pound, but then i would already know that they were 5-6 pound dearer in the first place.

Just out of interest, what are other peoples view on this?
I am also puzzled! I shop in about 5 stores I check the prices of the goods I want before going shopping and I follow the bargains and then go to the appropriate store. I can understand the glitch etc and the cash back but why would I pay more in another store when I know I can get it cheaper elsewhere ? Am I missing something if so please tell me. Thanks

Basically because in A's you get an extra 10% off, in T's/S's you get points on the higher amount.

But of course you have to buy the minimum that each store requires so it may not be worth it every time

Edit - And of course if you're not lucky enough to have all of the stores close by ...

Has it happens i need to use 2 buses to get to the Asda store and although I have a bus pass it's a bit of a journey but because I have a bus pass I normally do a targeted shop in the 5 stores I use so in 1 store as an example I may only buy 2 items and so on and this has a few advantages besides getting the bargains it also gets me out of the house because I am now retired and live alone and have no wish to go stir crazy lol.

That's true, if you have the time it's probably worth it for whoopsies alone :) I tend to only make it to A once a week and T once a week (unless there's a glitch on) so I do miss out on a lot, but I try to research msm before I go (esp. to A) and then do AvT / AvS / A cheaper shops separately
