    I have some GOOD NEWS

Molly has been rehomed :j I don't know the details yet but she has gone from the list of dogs available and been added to the bottom of the list of recently rehomed dogs

    And the BAD NEWS

    Molly has been rehomed :(

I will messaging the lady from the rescue centre to find out what sort of family she has gone to, plus finding out if her ex-neighbour did home Bess after seeing her photo, as she was going to see her on Monday

Very sad but very pleased at the same time

I can understand your mixed feelings :( what a hard time. Im sure she will be rehomed with a great family. When we rehomed our dog, they were very thorough in checking we were suitable for his needs as it should be. It's very brave of you to put their needs first :A

    Evening all

Can I ask you knowledgable peeps a question please?

I need to buy an external hard drie, probably a 1tb job. It's mainly for a one off thing in work so clearly don't want to spend too much money! Can anyone recommend a good one with a reasonable price tag please? Thanks :)
Ooh that's a bit spooky...only today I was thinking the same about getting an ext HDD and I was racking my brain trying to remember where I'd seen a reasonable 1TB not that long ago...it was probably on here but I might have imagined it :o

Ebuyer is the place to look.

Careful reading reviews as brands which are meant to be good one year can change supplier the next year and go downhill and vice versa.

I went for the buffalo brand, after reading the reviews at the time. Don't think it is as much as 1TB. Think I paid about £65, but prices do change as the cost of raw materials is variable.

Further to my earlier question (and many thanks for the answers) I popped in to another store on my way home and just happened to find a whole section of Topside Beef joints marked up at £10 per kilo mixed in with others flashed at half price £5 per kilo. Yellow SEL on aisle end showed Topside was on half price offer. I cannot believe I picked up the wrong one ... so popped along to CS after checkout. After a while he offered to refund the difference, I mentioned DTD, he said he would have to speak to the manager. When he came back he said this particular Topside was not on offer as it was British Beef and the offer was on Irish Beef Topside. So far as I am aware (and I checked) it said Topside, no mention of Irish or British on the SEL? Anyway, I got a refund and left it there as I was getting nowhere and hadn't the time to argue.

So is this correct or have I been fobbed off twice today? Admittedly, buying a few in each store was probably pushing it as the DTD would equate to around £80, but the DTD policy applies in all circumstances of an overcharge or am I pushing my luck?

Has anyone been banned from store for DTD?

I feel like I lost my mojo today, I bought a few ICBINB and yoghurts to justify the petrol ;).

    Many thanks

I would argue this to the death! a product is whatever price it is on any given day. It's up to them to make sure SELs match prices on the goods ( my store does :( unfortunately for me) its laziness to check and change prices. You are right and you should complain. The same product can't be 2 different prices

Not sure you can complain about both stores without alerting CS that you were actively looking for mis prices. But pick one and complain. They were wrong and you are right

Yes Auntycaz, I am ok but did shed tears when I saw the 'with her new forever home' bit. I do know that they check potential new owners out very well, as fairclaire says, plus they charge £170 to rehome a dog so only people serious in wanting one and able to take on the financial aspect of ownership apply. They are funded totally by donation so need these fees to operate as every dog is health checked, vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and flea/worm treated before going out. My two had already had all this done so the fee will all be for there funds, added money for them, which is much needed as some dogs accrue very high vets bills. As TrulyMadly says, bittersweet but it is best for them
