  • Morning all :)

Sending you big hugs Logie :A I'm the worst person to give advice as I'm always narking at my OH for the mess (and the slightest thing) and I don't even have a fraction of what you're going through so instead I'm just going to say please go and enjoy your lovely bath (and why not crack open a box of Milk Tray if you still have any left?) xx

Working and lurking today so have a good day everyone!

Well, i'm all caught up and a bit warmer after a hot chocolate :)

Am trying not to be totally  at the OH. House is a tip this morning. He had mates over for the 3rd night this week last night out in the garage (so they don't bring germs in the house). Tonight he is fixing someone's car so I won't see him properly then either.

I know he works hard and I shouldn't expect him to come home and start the housework but I am starting to struggle :( This morning he ran out of the door yelling that his work boots had left a load of mess on the floor and 'it'll need hoovering!'
Am stressing about the bugs in the kitchen/bathroom and how I should at least blitz them but I honestly haven't got the energy this morning. It's taking everything I've got just to keep up with what the little ones need :( Have lost the plot at DS1 twice already this morning only to end up a blubbering mess myself.

Thank God lovely Home Start lady due here at 10. It's one of those days where everyone at work and I just need a bit of support. Very grateful to be able to rant away here :A Sorry I'm on a bit of a downer.
Think I might have a nice warm bath when Home Start lady here. Will try and cheer myself back up :) Of course if Mr Shoes/BS reading, if you could keep my remaining orders uncancelled that may help ;):D
Dear Logie, Sending you big hugs. I am so sorry to hear you are a bit down this morning. I know that it is hard enough coping with chemo side effects, and the knowledge that your immune system is affected at the moment makes you so vulnerable. I honestly don't know how you are coping with two little ones too. You obviously do usually have a lot of support from your husband, but maybe he still doesn't quite realise how vulnerable leaving you to deal with dirt from his workboots makes you. Could you come up with a box that he uses to take his boots off into, and get him to just keep that box clean too? Maybe a little chat this evening after dinner would sort all this out. I am sure that it has just not really occurred to him that he has left you upset and with a problem of his creating to deal with this morning. You come across, on this forum, as being so capable and confident, and this can sometimes work against you when you need a bit of extra support from those very close to you. Just know that you are amazing, and that you will get through all this and out the other side soon. I wish you sunshine...oh and many Boots and Body Shop deliveries! XX
I am not young enough to know everything.
