Even more new stuff on TCB since this morning
I'm slowly working my way through - weetabix is for any size/variety but the choccie one is reduced to £2 in T's
I thought maybe bold was on both TCB & Q but it's different sizesThere comes a time in every woman's life when the only thing that helps is a glass of champagne ... Bette Davis0 -
well gang I need a rant....sorry.
Last night we were ankle deep in snow so the boys decided it was a good time to light the bonfire !!
All was going well until we saw blue lights, one of our lovely neighbours had called the fire brigade.
They came and looked and said it was ok but when we went to show them the hose standing by it had frozen in the pipeThey said they could wait until the fire died down but because fo the complaint they would rather wet it down so that the neighbour didn't keep calling.
They were really nice and five of the six were going to leave it but one wanted to use his hose !!!
He put the water right in the middle and the smoke and soot came up in a plume and covered my conservatory.
My whole garden is now an ice rink and covered in soot, but the fire is still alight this morning....
as they left they said I was well within my rights to have a fire and had done nothing wrong but the road was almost impassable due to the snow and couldn't come back if they got another call.
Still fuming as same neighbour called police at 9pm when my daughter had a 16th party, any ideas what can be done as I was born in this street and have lived there since before we had a road laid?0 -

So the police came. Said you were entitled to have the bonfire and then wanted you to dampen it down?
They should have just told your neighbour that it was OK and they weren't coming back.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I went for the 'options' hot chocolate, currently in T for £1.89 you get £1 cashback, times this by 4 for tesco points....:money:0 -
Anyone beat the mistletoe ?
I've still got the xmas card from mum & dad up - it's very pretty - handbag shaped white and silverand until I moved in August I had a birthday card made by my friend up for nearly 3 years (in fact I might find it and put it back out )

Morning all.
Happy Birthday kizkiz, :bdaycake: I hope you have a lovely day and enjoy your shopping.
Wendyak, I can imagine your frustration. Why can't people just live and let live. BUT, having said that 6 firemen in your garden and one wanting to use his hose :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. xBefore you assume, learn the facts,
Before you judge, understand why,
Before you hurt someone, feel,
Before you speak, think.0
