I work with young people with challenging behavours. Never should anyone smack or hit a young person, impliment consequences.couponqueen123 wrote: »i dnt want to sound rude but it didnt do me any harm growing up to have a smack , if the above is to make me feel guilty then im sorry i dont ,
I think what djrich is trying to get at is that it's very easy for some people to lash out and smack the child and not realise that they've hit harder than they usually would or not stop hitting for a while due to how frustrated they are.
I don't think it was directed at you.
I know from experience, my mum would lash out and not stop hitting until someone tipped in to stop her, she kept a cane behind the sofa and one time I'd forgotten to empty the bin in the kitchen and she kept hitting until the cane broke in two and that's when she stopped. When my dad came in he went ballistic and threatened to take us away if she didn't stop.
It's no fun having this happen, I always walk out or send DS out of the room if I'm getting too wound up. I don't want him to only remember being hit all the time or shouted at so I do this most times.SPC #329 £471/£500 banked

Afternoon all.
Playing catch up here so still got loads to read
Just had a phone call from Ts regarding the PPs that got stuck on the 13th.
They're sending out a £10 gift card :j because they said there's nothing they can do with them as they're completely stuck in the system (or something like that)
Funny thing was I'd rang them about it way back last week and today I handed my Dad back his receipts that i'd put in on the 13th (those were the 2 that were stuck) and said i'd given up on them and written off anything that may have come back. Just rang him back and he's now a very happy chappy and we're going halves on the giftcard so it'll pay for my little bits of shopping I grab with him next Wednesday :T
Can't remember who told me to call them to chase it up (may have been fairclaire?) but huge thanx to you! My Dad is over the moon

Thanks for your advice and everyone elses.
Torn on the 12GB issue, mainly used for blu-rays and watching streamed TV. Think the men play FIFA and CoD, so not much memory needed.
Now bidded on one on Ebay, let you know shortly.
Can someone explain CEX. I have old BB phones here, can I literally walk in to a store with the phones and walk out with a PS3?

Eggs that come from hens, not chocolate ones!

I use Paint.
- If you right click on your image and select Open With.. 'Paint' if will open it for you.
- Then the default menu bar at top, 'Home' bar, has three options vertically on it.. Crop, Resize and Rotate.
- Select 'Resize'.
- A dialog will open with: Resize by Percentage with Horizontal and Vertical fields.
- Forget everything but Horizontal, this is where you need to experiment. I found my camera takes 5.5-6meg pictures which need resizing by 51%. So I enter 51 in Horizontal and press ok.
- Then Save As, name and format is JPEG.
HTHProbably been answered but it sounds like your scans are in a pdf. When scanning pick the scan to picture option, it should then save as a jpg.
If you have windows 7 or above, there is a snip tool under the start key. Open the scan up. Zoom in so rec fits the screen. Click the snip tool and then drag the box over the rec. This photo will save as a jpg. That should save you having to re scan the ones you've already done.
Thanks, will try both of these, don't have windows 7, so will give other methods a try and let you know.eightieschick88 wrote: »Happy Birthday JJ - hope you have a fab day!
